飛天小笨鯨

我最近讀了傲慢與偏見的中文版，這是我高中最喜歡的外國小說，已經十幾年沒看這個故事，還是覺得很有趣。我很佩服作者的文筆，能創造機智且生動的對話，非常有趣。

即便沒有像現代常見愛情故事曲折的情節，像是生離死別或是時空穿越，只是單單描寫男女主角認知的誤會，讓我們看到人性弱點及優點如傲慢與偏見、正直與誠實，不但沒有說教的感覺，還創造了浪漫而動人的愛情故事，讓人百讀不厭。

我想試著看看英文版的小說。

Pride and Prejudice

I recently read the Chinese version of “Pride and Prejudice.” This novel was my favorite foreign novel during my high school years. • I read it once again after more than a decade later, and I still find it very interesting.

I am impressed by the author’s literary talent in writing witty dialogue as well as lively plots, and the more I read the more I am captivated.

Moreover, this novel doesn’t feature any of the complex plots commonly found in romance novels nowadays such as separation, death or time travel. It simply depicts the misunderstandings between male and female protagonists, while showing the strengths and weaknesses of human nature, such as conceitedness, prejudice, honesty and integrity, all while creating a romantic and touching love story. I never tired of reading it.

I also want to give the English version a go.

高慢と偏見

最近「高慢と偏見」の中国版の小説を読みました。これは私が高校生時代に最も好きだった外国の小説で、十数年ぶりにこの物語を読んで、やはり非常におもしろいと感じました。私は作者の文才に感心します。彼女は機知に富んでおり、いきいきとした対話を書くので、読めば読むほど面白く感じました。

また、現代の一般的な恋愛小説のような複雑なプロットがなくても、例えば生離死別やタイムスリップなどドラマチックな要素がなくても、単純に男女主人公の誤解を描写するだけで、単純に主人公男女の誤解を描写するだけで、人間の傲慢、偏見、誠実、正直といった弱点や長所を表現し、ロマンチックで感動的な恋愛物語を生み出しています。

英語版の小説も挑戦したいと思います。
